Many of the leadership courses and conferences are free or low cost to attend.
Leadership programs for men, women and youth
Australian Indigenous Leadership Centre
Australian Indigenous Leadership Centre is a Registered Training Organisation offering accredited courses in Indigenous leadership. The courses aim to give Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people the knowledge, skills and capacity to become effective leaders in their communities.
Indigenous Leaders Development opportunities
The Australian Government sponsors this leadership program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men, women and youth (18 years and over).
Women's leadership programs
Community leadership seminar series
The Office for Women offers free seminars in communities across Queensland to develop Indigenous women's leadership skills. You can share your knowledge, learn new skills, find out about training opportunities and develop networks.
Youth leadership programs
Indigenous Youth Leadership Program
This Queensland Government sponsored program brings together young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people from across the state. At the program you can learn leadership skills, develop networks and talk about specific community issues.
