Redland-Bayside Child and Family Support Hub
The Redland-Bayside Hub supports families with children aged 0 to 8 years in the Redland-Bayside area and the Bay islands, south east of Brisbane. The Hub operates from a shop front at Shop 9/21 Waterloo Street (entry via Queen Street) in Cleveland.
Staffed by a Hub Coordinator and Early Years/Parenting Support Worker, the Hub provides a range of support services for families with children aged 0 to 8 years including:
- a telephone and drop-in referral and information service for families
- a range of supportive activities including baby playgroups, community playgroups for families with children aged 0 to 5 years
- parenting and child development education support for families
- programs for culturally and linguistically diverse families, families with a parent and/or child with a disability or mental illness, and young parents
- a resource centre that includes a toy library, parenting books and other resources for families with children aged 0 to 8 years.
The service also offers networking and training opportunities for staff of community agencies and organisations working with families with children aged 0-8 in the Redland-Bayside area.
The Redland-Bayside Child and Family Support Hub is auspiced by Playgroup Queensland.
