Robina - Trinity Family Support Network
The existing community based, Rainbow Town Child Care Centre operates under the auspice of Trinity Anglican Mission which is the Parish church of the Anglican Parish of Robina and Miami. This hub service will resource, assist and support families and children in a high growth and low socio-economic area on the Gold Coast.
The Mission has existing infrastructure with its Rainbow Town Child Care Centre, the Gold Coast Family Support Group and the St. Luke's Nursing Service will continue to work closely together to provide and develop existing services. The hub would also enable the extension of the existing playgroup.
The service would be a one stop service where parents will be able to access a range of services including identification, assessment and intervention of child and family support issues. The necessary infrastructure exists at the Mission to draw together services already being provided and expansion to cover more families through networking and establishing new links with other service providers.
Triennial funding of $40,000 is provided to employ a hub coordinator and to assist with operating costs, and non-recurrent funding of $11,000 is provided to complete capital works to make structural alterations to convert an existing room into an office.
