Stanthorpe - Granite Belt Neighbourhood Centre
This community based neighbourhood centre offers family support, a limited hours care service, community development services, and information and referrals for families in Stanthorpe.
Non-recurrent funding of $270,000 is provided to do major renovations to the existing building and recurrent funding of $13,330 is provided to employ an administrative assistant. This major renovation will allow 12 child care and family support services to be integrated into a child care and family support hub in Stanthorpe.
These services include Family Day Care, Outside School Hours Care, toy library, Nursing Mothers Association, local playgroups, community development services, community legal service, visiting services (free financial counselling etc), limited hours child care, youth development worker, special needs support group and the vacation care program.
