Taigum/Zillmere - Jabiru Community Youth and Children's Service Association
This service provides school age care services at Taigum Primary School and at Zillmere Primary School.
Recurrent funding of $62,702 is provided to employ a Community Participation Coordinator (CPC) and for operational costs. The CPC will work collaboratively with the schools to link children and families with appropriate child care, family support, and early intervention services in the area.
This service will use an action research model, building on and expanding grass roots, community sector, Government, and business partnerships.
Community / Childcare Links and Supports Project (CLASP) will be located within a geographic area which has been identified as a high priority identified through regional place planning processes.
Jabiru Community Youth and Children's Services Association Inc., through the CLASP proposal, demonstrates a commitment to developing the program through consultative and collaborative processes, and facilitating responses to address the real needs of children and families.
CLASP will build on an existing network of relationships between significant local stakeholders to ensure that the diverse care and support needs of children and families are met in a co-ordinated and holistic way, appropriate to the identified community.
