Child care services search
The Child Care Services Search facilities enable you to search for and locate child care or early education services in Queensland.
The services identified in your search results include centre based and home based services. If you are specifically looking for home based services (family day care), it is recommended that you contact the Child Care Information Service for relevant information as family day care schemes are listed not individual family day care carers.
There are two options to search for services. Please take the time to use both search facilities and if you have any feedback, please share it with us so that we can continue developing the site to meet your needs. Please email any comments or suggestions to ccis@communities.qld.gov.au.
Child care services search - text based search
The text based search allows you to search for services using pre-determined picklists and text fields. The information returned by the search is presented on screen in an alphabetised list. Clicking on the name of a service will display a report on the individual service. Both the list and the report may be printed.
Using the text based search, you can:
- search for all the child care and early education services in a given area, such as near your home or work
- print a report of child care services in identified areas complete with contact details for each service
- search for a particular child care service by postcode, suburb/town, child's age, setting or type of care.

Child care services search - geographical (mapping) search
The geographical (mapping) search allows you to search for services using map functions and text fields. The information returned by the search is displayed on screen along with a map displaying the location of each service.
Using the interactive maps, you can:
- 'zoom in' to street level to view maps of all the child care and early education services in a given area, such as near your home or work
- print a report of child care services in identified areas complete with contact details for each service
- search for a particular child care service by name, postcode or suburb.
