Brisbane Secure is a multi-agency response to any major incident in the Brisbane CBD. During an emergency your responses may include:
- business as usual
- shelter-in-place
- evacuation.

The Department of Communities’ role is to support the operations of Brisbane City Council in the immediate recovery stages of a crisis event. We also assist licensees and directors of child care centres within the CBD to prepare for a crisis by providing them with education and information.
CBD Emergency Plan
The Brisbane Secure Emergency Plan for the Brisbane CBD is an assurance that Emergency Services have the ability and preparedness to respond quickly to potential threats. The plan encompasses all hazards and focuses on crisis and short-term consequence management immediately after an incident and prior to the implementation of existing disaster management arrangements.
