Support and assistance
A substantial number of shires throughout the State have been affected by storms and floods.
Government assistance, including financial assistance, is being made available for individuals and families who have experienced personal hardship as a result of these storms.
Emergent Assistance Grant
The emergency assistance grant has now closed for all areas of Queensland. This grant was available to individuals and families who required financial assistance to help meet their basic needs in the first few days following a disaster.
Essential Household Contents Grant
Applications for this assistance are now closed.

Structural Assistance Grant
Applications for this assistance are now closed.

Other Assistance
Other assistance may be available, including personal support and counselling services. Please discuss any needs you may have with an officer from the Department of Communities.
