COMSIS Related Data links have been developed by the Evidence and Modelling Unit within the Department of Communities, in conjunction with each business area. 

COMSIS makes it possible for data relevant across the Department to be accessible from a single point of enquiry, but with different levels of access based on data quality, consistent statistical geography and confidentiality requirements.

COMSIS Related Data should be used in conjunction with the COMSIS Database and the COMSIS Profiles.

    The Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation (OLGR) regularly publishes electronic gaming machine (EGM) statistics for clubs and hotels in geographical areas throughout Queensland.
• Australian Government initiative (AEDI)
  • The Australian Early Development Index (AEDI) is a population measure of young children's development. AEDI results provide communities with a snapshot of the development of their children across five key areas of early childhood development.
  • The Queensland Department of Communities uses a Geographic Information System (GIS) to map and analyse layers of information (including the AEDI) as a key tool in evidence based management. For more information refer to the Evidence Based Management and the Australian Early Development Index Information Sheet (PDF, 59 KB) (PDF) .(RTF, 46 KB) (RTF) Requests for more specific AEDI information can be made to the Queensland Department of Communities via email.
  • AEDI Confidentialised Unit Record Files (CURFs) contain de-identified data about individual children for whom the AEDI Checklist has been completed. Access to CURFs is limited to researchers and organisations which undertake to keep data secure and not attempt to identify individual children. Release of this data is possible for planning, accountability and policy purposes.
