Welcome to the Compact Knowledge Hub
The Queensland Compact is a partnership agreement between the Queensland Government and the Non-profit Community Services Sector developed to build strong working relationship to achieve the best possible outcomes for all Queenslanders.
The Queensland Compact is a shared initiative. Representatives from the Queensland Government and the Non-profit Community Services Sector jointly contribute and play a significant role in its implementation.
The Compact Governance Committee is pleased to announce
- The fifth Compact Intersectoral Forum ‘ICTs in human service delivery – opportunities and challenges’ was held on 7 November 2011 in Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast.
- The Independent Review has now been completed, the final report is due to be released in early 2012
- The Workforce Sub-Committee has developed an action plan and joint actions are underway

The Queensland Compact supports a fairer and stronger Queensland by committing the Government and Non-profit Community Services Sector to actions which improve human services and the sector's contribution to the economy through employment and volunteering.
Under a joint governance process, the Compact Governance Committee developed and oversees an Action Plan that gives effect to the commitments within the Compact and creates practical change.

These major projects aim to address key issues affecting Queensland's human service sector, and achieve service system improvements for practitioners and clients.
For the Compact to be successful, officers at all levels of government and employees and volunteers across the sector need to commit to its implementation.
The Queensland Compact is a sector-wide, whole-of-government and whole-of-state initiative.
Queensland Compact events are excellent opportunities for workers across government and the sector to come together and share best practice in service delivery and jointly progress priority Compact initiatives.
