About the Queensland Compact

The Queensland Compact supports a fairer and stronger Queensland by committing the Government and Non-profit Community Services Sector to actions which improve human services and the sector's contribution to the economy through employment and volunteering.

Purpose

The Queensland Compact sets out expectations and commitments for the Queensland Government and the Non-profit Community Services Sector to work together in a respectful, productive, forward-looking relationship that benefits the community.

Vision

The Queensland Government and Non-profit Community Services Sector working together for a better quality of life and a fair community for all Queenslanders now and in the future.

Compact Governance Committee

The Compact Governance Committee, oversees implementation of the Queensland Compact. The Committee includes five representatives from Government, five from the sector and an Independent Chair.

Compact Action Plan

The Compact Governance Committee developed and oversees an Action Plan (PDF, 292 KB) Action Plan (RTF, 325 KB) that gives effect to the commitments within the Compact.

Launch

The Compact launch was held at the Speaker's Green, Parliament House on Thursday 27 November 2008.
