November 2011 Intersectoral Forum – North Coast
The fifth Compact Intersectoral Forum, 'ICTs in human service delivery – Opportunities and Challenges', was held at the Maroochydore Events Centre (RSL), on 7 November 2011.
The forum explored the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in human service delivery to:
- build better working relationships
- improve engagement in planning and policy
- improve organisational and sector capacity and sustainability and
- improve service quality and promote innovation.
The workshop sessions on the day focused on the importance of better harnessing ICTs to improve human service delivery:
- Workshop A: Assistive Technologies – From widgets to iPad technology it's breaking the barriers to access, will you be left behind
- Workshop B: Innovation – Looking at leading edge ICT relevant to human services
- Workshop C: Making client engagement easier – Improving client service with ICT
- Workshop D: Social Media - A New(ish) Way to Engage
