The Queensland Compact is a sector-wide, whole-of-government and whole-of-state initiative.
The benefits of the Compact will only be realised through its implementation within and across both the Queensland Government and the Non-profit Community Services Sector, and through the development of local, regional and statewide initiatives.
The Compact Governance Committee (CGC) has made more effective engagement with regions a priority for 2010 and will focus on expanding statewide implementation of the Compact across government and the sector. To do this, the CGC will lead the roll-out of activities under the Communication and Embedding Plan Communication and Embedding Plan .
The South West Region and the North Coast Region have launched their joint sector-government Regional Compact Committees.
The CGC looks forward to working in collaboration with all regions to progress shared priorities.
