  • First Home Buyers

    First homebuyers save up to $9500 in stamp duty and all homebuyers save around $300 on a $500,000 house in mortgage duty.

  • Ambulance

    Community Ambulance Cover provides every Queensland resident with ambulance cover anywhere in Australia.

  • Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art

    Concessions on the admission price may be available for some major exhibitions at the Queensland Art Gallery and GOMA to holders of a Health Care Card, Pensioner Concession Card and Queensland Seniors Card, as well as Foster and Kinship Carer Card or full-time student card. General gallery entry is free.

  • Young Athlete Assistance Program

    A grant of up to $200 is provided to help young athletes in Queensland who have competed at a State or State School Championship, National or National School Championship or International Championship.

  • Boat Registration Fees

    A recreational ship owner who is the holder of a Queensland Seniors Card or Pensioner Concession Card is exempt from paying half the registration component of the total registration fee for one recreational ship. The recreational use fee is still payable in full.

  • Bond Loan

    An interest-free loan is available to assist people to pay their full bond on a private rental tenancy.

  • Bus Travel

    A 50 per cent concession is available on urban bus services throughout Queensland.

  • Compulsory Third Party (CTP) Insurance Cut for Motorists

    The Queensland Government has made changes to Compulsory Third Party (CTP) Insurance in Queensland that reduces premiums by $24.

  • Dental

    Free dental treatment, including the provision of dentures, is available at public dental clinics and hospitals.

  • Development Loan

    Development Loans provide you with financial support to enable you to take the next step in achieving a productive and more sustainable enterprise.

  • Drought Relief Assistance Scheme (DRAS)

    The Drought Relief Assistance Scheme (DRAS) has been set up by the Queensland Government to help primary producers in the grazing industries manage their livestock resource during drought and to help in the restoration of that resource after drought.

  • Drought Recovery Loan

    Recovering from the effects of drought conditions is never easy, particularly when the costs associated with planting or reinvigorating a post drought crop and purchasing stock, are expensive.

  • ecoBiz

    The ecoBiz program is a free self help program that uses a simple six step methodology for identifying and measuring water, energy and material resource saving opportunities to assist Queensland companies to cut costs and increase profit through eco-efficiency.

  • Electricity

    The Queensland Government provides a rebate on the cost of electricity supplied to the home of eligible concession card holders.

  • Electricity Life Support

    The Electricity Life Support Concession Scheme is a monthly concession to assist eligible users of an oxygen concentrator or kidney dialysis machine with meeting their electricity costs.

  • EzyGreen

    EzyGreen is an easy, simple-to-use program that helps residents across Greater Brisbane and the South East to save energy, save on power bills and do something good for the environment.

  • Ferry Travel

    A concession fare is available on Brisbane ferry services, including CityCat and CityFerry.

  • Fire Services Levy

    Urban and rural fire services concessions are available.

  • First Aid

    Queensland Ambulance Service offers a five per cent discount on the non-GST component of its Apply First Aid and Perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation courses.

  • First Start Loans

    First Start Loans provide you with the opportunity to own your first primary production enterprise. These loans provide concessional interest in those critical first years of establishment.

  • Fishing

    A 10 per cent annual discount is available on a Stocked Impoundment Permit for holders of a Queensland

  • Queensland Home Adapt Loan

    The Queensland Home Adapt Loan provides financial assistance to home owners with a disability, or those who have a household member with a disability, so they can modify their property to enable the person with a disability to remain living in their home.

  • Home Assist Secure Service

    The Home Assist Secure service aims to remove some of the practical housing-related difficulties experienced by older people and people with a disability who wish to remain living in their home.

  • Home Energy Emergency Assistance Scheme

    While not a concession, the Home Energy Emergency Assistance Scheme provides one-off emergency assistance to low-income households.

  • Home Modification Services

    The Queensland Home Adapt Loan provides financial assistance to home owners with a disability, or those who have a household member with a disability, so they can modify their property to enable the person with a disability to remain living in their home.

  • Queensland Housing Finance loan

    The Queensland Housing Finance Loan offers access to home ownership through the Department of Communities (Housing and Homelessness Services). This home loan provides an opportunity to those who have the capacity and commitment to buy or build a home.

  • Land Rent

    Lessees of leasehold land who are suffering hardship or facing financial difficulties and hold a Commonwealth Government concession card may be eligible for a decrease in land rent, provided their leased land is used exclusively as their principal place of residence.

  • Medical Aids subsidy

    The Medical Aids Subsidy Scheme provides funding for scheme endorsed aids and equipment to eligible Queensland residents with permanent and stabilised conditions or disabilities.

  • Medical cooling and heating electricity

    The Medical Cooling and Heating Electricity Concession Scheme assists with the electricity costs for eligible customers who have an inability to self-regulate body temperature when exposed to extremes (hot or cold) of environmental temperatures.

  • Mortgage Relief loan

    Short-term assistance through a Mortgage Relief Loan is available to people experiencing difficulties with their home loan repayments, as a result of an unforeseen change in their circumstances. There are no application fees or ongoing charges payable.

  • Motor Vehicle Registration fees

    If your Pensioner Concession Card was issued on or after 1 July 1994, you are entitled to a 50 per cent reduction of the registration fee component of the total registration amount payable.

  • Queensland Museum Network

    Concessions may be available on the admission price to museums and/or some major exhibitions to holders of a Health Care Card, Pensioner Concession Card, Queensland.

  • National rental affordability scheme grant

    Investors in developments being built as part of the National Rental Affordability Scheme are eligible for a grant as an incentive to provide private market properties for lease to eligible clients referred from the Department of Communities Housing Register.

  • Natural Disaster Assistance

    Natural disasters often occur when we least expect them. Should you be affected by floods, cyclones, storms or bushfires, relief is at hand from QRAA.

  • Reticulated natural gas

    The Queensland Government provides a rebate on the cost of reticulated natural gas supplied to the home of the eligible concession card holder.

  • Parks

    The Department of Environment and Resource Management offers concessions for park entry to eligible cardholders.

  • Pathways shared equity loan

    Department of Communities (Housing and Homelessness Services) tenants may be eligible for a Pathways Shared Equity Loan if the property they are renting has been assessed as being available for purchase.

  • Patient travel subsidy

    The Patient Travel Subsidy Scheme provides financial assistance to patients who need to access specialist medical services not available within 50 kilometres of the patient's nearest public hospital.

  • Queensland Performing Arts

    Concessions are available on ticket prices for most events. Cards accepted depend on the event.

  • Public Transport

    Seniors Cards issued by all Australian state and territory governments are recognised in Queensland for fare concessions on the TransLink* and qconnect urban public transport networks, state government contracted ferry services, as well as on Traveltrain long distance rail services.

  • Rail Travel

    Concessions are available for suburban, interstate and Traveltrain services.

  • Rate Subsidy

    The Queensland Government's Pensioner Rate Subsidy Scheme provides a subsidy of 20 per cent (up to a maximum amount of $180 each year) of the gross rates and charges levied by a local council.

  • Reduced kindy fees

    Health Care Card holders are eligible for reduced kindy fees at any service delivering a Queensland Government-approved kindergarten program.

  • Rental grant

    A rental grant is available to tenants to help them pay two weeks rent in advance on a private rental property. A rental grant helps people experiencing a housing crisis. It does not have to be repaid.

  • Resource Management Loan

    Resource Management Loans provide you with non-means tested finance to cover capital costs associated with implementing resource management practices to attain a greater level of sustainability and profitability.

  • Retail

    Retail concessions available.

  • School Transport

    Financially disadvantaged school students may be eligible for safety-net transport assistance.

  • Small Business Emergency Assistance

    State Government Emergency Assistance is available for locally owned small businesses that have been affected by drought conditions declared as Exceptional Circumstances to assist in meeting operating and other essential costs.

  • Smoke alarm subsidy scheme for deaf and hearing impaired people

    The Queensland Government offers a subsidy to purchase specialised smoke alarms to permanent Queensland residents who are deaf or have a hearing impairment.

  • Solar Bonus Scheme

    The Solar Bonus Scheme is designed to make solar power more affordable for Queenslanders, stimulate the solar power industry and encourage energy efficiency. It rewards customers whenever they generate more electricity than they are using.

  • Solar Hot Water Rebate

    If you are replacing your electric hot water system and switch to solar you could save on your electricity bill. The Queensland Government Solar Hot Water Rebate provides rebates of $1000 (for pensioners and low income earners) or $600, for the installation of a heat pump or solar hot water system.

  • Spectacles supply

    The Spectacles Supply Scheme provides a comprehensive range of free basic prescription spectacles to eligible Queensland residents.

  • Queensland state housing loan

    The Queensland State Housing Loan is a home loan product designed to assist you if you purchase the public rental property you are renting or another available Department of Communities-owned property.

  • State Library of Queensland

    Concessions to some programs and events may be available at the State Library of Queensland to holders of a Health Care Card, Pensioner Concession Card, or Queensland Seniors Card, or holders of a Foster and Kinship Carer Card or full-time student card.

  • TAFE

    Concessions or exemptions are available only on government-funded courses and some Adult Community Education programs.

  • Taxi subsidy

    The Taxi Subsidy Scheme aims to improve the mobility of people with a severe disability. Through this scheme a 50 per cent concession for taxi travel is available. The maximum subsidy is $25 for each trip.

  • Textbook and Resource Allowance

    The Textbook and Resource Allowance provides financial assistance to parents/caregivers to offset textbook and education resource costs for full time and part time students.

  • Travel and accommodation subsidies

    Financial assistance is available for accommodation and travel (road, rail, ferry and land) to assist trainees who have to travel away from their usual workplace to attend training with their supervising registered training organisation.

  • Vision impairment travel pass

    The Vision Impairment Travel Pass provides free travel on all participating urban public transport services, including bus, rail and ferry, within Australia, to people certified as legally blind.

  • Water Subsidy

    The Queensland Government's Pensioner Water Subsidy Scheme provides an annual subsidy up to a maximum of $100 off the cost of utility (water access and volumetric usage) charges.

  • Youth Training Incentive

    Youth Training Incentives give students an additional pathway into employment by combining education and training towards a qualification in the career of their choice. It is particularly designed for young people who would otherwise be unlikely to pursue direct entry into tertiary education after senior school.
