Boat Registration Fees

A recreational ship owner who is the holder of a Queensland Seniors Card or Pensioner Concession Card is exempt from paying half the registration component of the total registration fee for one recreational ship. The recreational use fee is still payable in full.

Totally and permanently incapacitated Gold Card holders who are assessed as 70 per cent or more incapacitated are exempt from paying the registration fee and recreational use fee payable for one recreational ship.

Applicants must provide a letter from the Department of Veterans’ Affairs confirming the type of pension they receive.
