Financial assistance is available for accommodation and travel (road, rail, ferry and land) to assist trainees who have to travel away from their usual workplace to attend training with their supervising registered training organisation.
Who can apply (eligibility)
You may be eligible to claim if you are an apprentice or trainee who has:
- attended the closest college offering your course. Your closest college is the one that is nearest to your usual place of residence; and
- travelled at least 100kms return to attend.
Limitations
The apprentice or trainee will only be entitled to the subsidy if they attend training at the closest training organisation that delivers the course of instruction for the particular training program.
