Homelessness

Homelessness can affect anyone—from single young people to families with children. It includes people who are sleeping rough, as well as people who are staying in temporary, unstable or substandard accommodation.

The Queensland Government is committed to implementing a significant reform agenda to reduce homelessness in Queensland by providing affordable housing options and tailored support to people for the duration that they need it.

  • National Partnership Agreement on Homelessness

    A Homelessness National Partnership Agreement Implementation Plan has been developed to enhance existing and ongoing funding by the Australian and Queensland Governments to reduce homelessness in Queensland.

    Guidelines to provide information and guidance for specialist homelessness services funded by the department under Homelessness Programs

  • Homelessness Information Management Program

    The Homelessness Vacancy Capacity Management System (VCMS) is an electronic tool that facilitates access to vacancy and capacity information of specialist homelessness services across Queensland.
