A suite of products have been developed through the project and made available so that staff working directly with older people, policy makers and funding agencies, can use this information to improve responses to social isolation.

  • Literature reviews

The Cross-Government Project to Reduce Social Isolation of Older People commissioned a literature review on social isolation of older people, for phase 1 of the project, to inform later phases of the project.

  • Consultation reports

From May 2003 to February 2004, visits were made to ten locations across the state. Meetings and forums were held in each of the areas to identify local protective and risk factors in relation to social isolation, and to discuss solutions to social isolation.

  • Interim Report – Project Phases One to Three

This report provides a summary of phases one to three of the project and brings together findings of the literature, the community meetings and forums, and the project submissions.

  • Evaluation Report – Project Phase Four

The evaluation report brings together the findings from the five demonstration projects.

  • Best Practice Guidelines

The best practice guidelines have been developed as part of the Queensland Cross-Government Project to Reduce Social Isolation of Older People.
