Doreen, 64, is Chairperson of the Wujal Wujal Warranga Justice Group. She has been a member of the group since it was formed in 2003 and lobbied with Lily Yougie to have zero alcohol limits in the community.
As part of her work with the justice group, Doreen was instrumental in the establishment of a two-man police station in 2008.
The zero policy on alcohol in the community has resulted in more children getting enough sleep to attend school, increased attendance levels at school, fewer street fights and wild parties and a reduction in drink driving.
