Ralph Davies, 71, has been a Justice of the Peace for 43 years and is involved as an active volunteer with numerous organisations. They include Neighbourhood Watch, Mitchelton Gaythorne Community Action Group, Enoggera Wards Grants Committee, Mitchelton Turns 150 Committee, Sleep Disorder Australia, Queensland Public Service Retired Officers' Association and Red Cross.
Over the past 15 years, Ralph's tireless efforts have made an enormous difference to the Mitchelton Meals on Wheels in various roles, including president for the past 12 years. He established policies and procedures and acquired kitchen equipment to ensure compliance with new government legislation.
A generous man, his commitment never waned during difficult personal and family situations, which has inspired fellow volunteers.
Ralph's determination and persistence has also resulted in grants for equipment and resources necessary for efficient and effective running of the organisation and the welfare of its volunteers.
Under his leadership, Mitchelton Meals on Wheels has twice been inducted into the Quest Business Achievers' Hall of Fame.
