Donald, also known as Don, has dedicated 30 years to helping people with a disability.
Don was one of the founding members of Kith and Kin Association, which helps people with psychiatric, physical and intellectual disabilities. He is also a founding member of the Townsville Independence Program for Adult Community Living.
Don's leadership, commitment and wisdom are based on his experience as a father and carer for his two daughters. Don has been a catalyst for change in the disability sector, inspiring, challenging and influencing others around him.
He has worked tirelessly to provide a voice for people with a disability and their families.
