Veronica also known as Vera, has dedicated countless years to volunteering, particularly representing the interests of seniors.

For the past four years Vera has been the Chairperson of National Seniors Australia's Queensland Policy Advisory Group, which represents the over fifties community in Queensland.

In this role Vera has met with National Seniors Australia members, other seniors groups, local council and State Government Ministers to raise awareness of issues facing seniors.

Vera also represents seniors on a range of community networks, including the Seniors Roundtable, Council of Grandparents, Aged Care Coalition, Ipswich Seniors Advisory Council and Health Consumers Queensland Network.

Vera is also the President of the National Seniors Goodna/Redbank Branch, and for the past 13 years has been a Volunteer Support Officer with Queensland Mental Health Carers.
