Eligible seniors now have the option of choosing a combined Seniors Card and TransLink go card.

With the combined Seniors Card +go, you'll enjoy:

  • all the usual savings available with the current Seniors Card
  • the option to store money on your card to pay for concession fares on TransLink bus, train and ferry services in South East Queensland
  • no go card deposit.

How to apply

If you are eligible for a Seniors Card*, or if you hold a Seniors Card and would like convert to a Seniors Card +go, you can:

  • complete an online application form. Remember, to lodge your application electronically, you need to click on the 'Submit' button at the bottom of the form when you have finished
  • download the application form (PDF, 861 KB) and post the completed form to address provided on the form
  • phone Smart Service Queensland on 13 QGOV (13 7468) to apply by telephone.

* To be eligible for a Seniors Card or Seniors Card +go, you must be:

  • aged 65 years or older and not working full-time (working less than 35 hours per week) or
  • aged 60-64 years, not working full-time (working less than 35 hours per week) and hold a Commonwealth concession card issued by Centrelink or the Department of Veterans' Affairs.

If you are applying for a Seniors Card for the first time, you will need to provide a Centrelink number (CRN) or Department of Veterans' Affairs number, or a photocopy of your proof of age and address (e.g. birth certificate, current Australian passport, Queensland driver's licence or Queensland 18 Plus card). Proof of age documents MUST match the name used on the application form.

If you do not have any of these documents, you will need to provide a Statutory Declaration (PDF) signed by a Justice of the Peace stating your name, address, date and place of birth.
