2011 Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Awards

The Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Awards ceremony was held on the Gold Coast on Friday 25 November 2011.

Six awards and one highly commended certificate were presented to both individuals and organisations that have developed successful prevention or awareness initiatives.

  • Individual Award

    The Individual Award recognises individuals whose work has contributed to the prevention of domestic and family violence.

  • Partnership Award

    The Partnership Award recognises an innovative and exceptional project or activity, delivered through a partnership between individuals and/or community organisations which has contributed to the prevention of domestic and family violence.

  • Primary Prevention Award

  • The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Award

    The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Award recognises an innovative and exceptional project or activity that has contributed to the prevention of domestic and family violence and enhanced the safety of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities.

  • Government Award

    The Government Award recognises an innovative and exceptional policy, project or activity by local or state government that increases awareness of, and/or community safety from, domestic and family violence.
