Kelly is a well-respected member of the Mount Isa community and has been recognised for her ongoing commitment to raising awareness and supporting people experiencing domestic and family violence.
Speaking at the Shine the Light on Domestic Violence Prevention Community Breakfast in May, Kelly bravely spoke for the first time about the very personal impact that domestic violence has had on her own life and that of her family.
Kelly was nominated for an Award by a community-based organisation in Mount Isa, reflecting the high esteem in which she is regarded by other agencies involved in responding to domestic and family violence.
Her commitment to going above and beyond her professional duties and to working in partnership with others stood out as a feature of her nomination.
