Individual Award recipient, Heritage Building Society CEO, John Minz has a long history of campaigning against domestic and family violence and is a well-respected member of the Toowoomba community.
John is a White Ribbon ambassador, a member of the Toowoomba Says No to Violence group and a previous winner of Australia's CEO Challenge Race to raise funds and awareness about domestic and family violence.
John has used his position as CEO of Heritage Building Society as a platform to educate his staff and raise awareness about family and domestic violence in the Toowoomba community. In 2010, Heritage Building Society became the first business in Australia to provide leave for staff experiencing domestic and family violence.
His many activities include organising the 'Refuge Relief' campaign in which Heritage Building Society staff donated goods to women's shelters, launching the dedicated White Ribbon Camellia at a Toowoomba flower show, and holding internal information sessions for Heritage Building Society staff.
