Queensland Women – Building Connections
The Queensland Government theme for 2013 International Women's Day celebrations was ‘Queensland Women – Building Connections’. The connections women make enhance their personal well-being, and build stronger, more inclusive communities.
The Queensland Government is committed to supporting women – on International Women's Day and all year round – to make new and strengthen existing connections, by providing information and support to women through Women’s Infolink.

Queensland Women 2013 - a statistical snapshot
On International Women's Day Minister for Communities, Tracy Davis, released a statistical snapshot of women's progress in key areas such as education and training, employment and economic security, safety, housing and health and wellbeing.
IWD 2013 Queensland events
Events were held across the state to celebrate International Women's Day. The Queensland Government proudly supported the UN Women Australia Brisbane International Women's Day Breakfast and the 2013 Black, Bold and Beautiful Indigenous Women’s Luncheon.
