What does the Graduate Development Program involve?
The Department of Communities is a diverse service delivery agency that offers a broad range of careers and an exciting Graduate Development Program.
Our Graduate Development Program provides recent university graduates with an extensive professional development program that will develop leadership skills and personal capabilities. On completion of the 12-month development program participants will have the skills to undertake higher levels of responsibility in our diverse organisation.
The program allows for two six-month rotations over 12 months and provides graduates with a broad range of experience in different areas in human services. It also offers participants the opportunity to discover where their passion and interests really lie.

What qualifications do you need?
The Department of Communities recruits graduates from the following areas:
- business (management, communication, marketing, economics, information technology and human resources)
- social and behavioural sciences (social work/social planning and psychology)
- law or criminology.
