Shared Information Solutions (SIS) provides information technology (IT) services and support to three Queensland Government agencies: the Department of Communities, Disability Services Queensland and the Department of Child Safety.
SIS’s services range across IT infrastructure, applications, security, desktop and help desk.
SIS also undertakes information strategic planning, development of major systems, and procurement of IT hardware and software.

What does SIS’s IT service and support staff do?
The SIS team delivers services and support in areas such as:
- IT infrastructure
- IT applications
- information security
- desktop and help desk services
- IT procurement.
SIS’s staff are also engaged in the development and delivery of major systems, including:
- business analysis
- software development
- change management
- user training
- system testing.
What qualifications do I need?
You will need to demonstrate knowledge and skills in information technology concepts and techniques, particularly in the areas of hardware, software and network support.
You may have acquired that knowledge and skill through relevant post-secondary education and training, work experience, or a combination of both.
