Disability Action Week was held from 9 to 15 September and provided an opportunity for the community to get energised and join in the celebrations.

Queenslanders celebrated Disability Action Week 2012 from 9 to 15 September.

Disability Action Week is an opportunity for the community to come together to shine a spotlight on social inclusion and access issues, and to celebrate the achievements and contributions of people with a disability. This important message is reflected in the theme ‘Empower, enable, everybody’.

The Disability Action Week website has moved. For more information about the week and how you can get involved, visit the Disability Online website at www.qld.gov.au/disability.
