Draft 10-year plan for supporting Queenslanders with a disability

Creating a more inclusive Queensland

A draft 10-year plan for supporting Queenslanders with a disability was released for public consultation on 2 June 2010.

The draft 10-year plan provided a vision and ideas about how we can work together to create Queensland communities that are welcoming and inclusive of all citizens. The plan is aimed at improving access to transport, child care, schooling, employment, health services, housing, cultural, arts, sports and recreational pursuits as well as setting out a range of improvements in the delivery of disability services.

Feedback on the draft plan was sought from a broad cross-section of the Queensland community about their ideas on how we can achieve our shared vision for an inclusive community.

Consultation on the draft 10-Year Plan has now closed.
