All Abilities Playgrounds are opened across Queensland, enabling children with and without a disability to enjoy fun and challenging play together, side-by-side. Pioneer Park was the first All Abilities Playground in Queensland to open and following its success, a further 16 playgrounds have been created.
The play spaces have been created by local governments in collaboration with the department, local communities and industry specialists, as part of the Queensland All Abilities Playground Project – enabling participation in play.
