Queensland Disability Conference 2011

Conference program

Delegates at the 2011 conference enjoyed a varied program of keynote presentations, panel discussions and workshop sessions.

One of the most important events on Queensland's disability calendar — the Queensland Disability Conference 2011 — was held at the Cairns Convention Centre from 22 to 23 September.

With the theme 'Absolutely everybody: enabling Queenslanders', this year's conference focused on four areas: the Queensland Government's priorities for disability, assistive technology, universal design and accessible tourism.

This event was an opportunity for people from the disability sector, the wider community, business and industry to connect and share information and ideas to make a difference for people with a disability.

Through a varied and interesting program of keynote presentations, panel discussions and workshop sessions, the conference provided a great opportunity to share our collective experiences and highlight the great work happening at the grassroots level.
