The 2010 Shared Visions regional forums were an opportunity to provide face-to-face feedback on the draft 10-Year Plan for Supporting Queenslanders with a Disability.
The plan proposed 10 priorities and strategies to improve access to transport, education, health care, housing, employment, social, arts, sports and recreational pursuits.
The forums also provided an opportunity for government and the community to work collaboratively for a more inclusive future for people with a disability, their families and carers.
The program included a presentation on Building bright futures: an action plan for children with a disability from birth to eight years and what we hope to achieve over the next four years.
In total more than 1100 people attended a forum to have their say on the 10-Year Plan. Below is a summary of the discussion and outcomes of each of the forums:
