This DVD supports people with intellectual disability and complex communication needs to understand the Queensland Disability Service Standards and provide feedback about the specialist disability services they receive.
The DVD uses day-to-day stories to explain each standard. Prompts and questions are available at the end of each standard and provide an opportunity for the viewer to talk about the specialist disability service they receive, in relation to that standard, with their communication partner (e.g. support worker, family member or carer).
People with a disability play lead roles in this DVD. The DVD also includes simple signing captions if required.

Ordering the DVD
The Bringing quality to life DVD is one of the components of the Interactive Toolkit. However, the DVD can also be ordered separately.
Contact Disability Information Service by telephone on 1800 177 120 to order your 'Guide to ordering your Interactive Toolkit' booklet. Complete and post (no stamp required) the order form enclosed in the guide. If you would like to order the DVD separately, only tick the DVD option on the order form and state the exact number of DVDs you wish to order.
Supporting resources
When a DVD is ordered, it will come with an Action plan form. This form is useful when recording a person's responses to the different resources within the Interactive Toolkit, including the DVD.
