The Department of Communities (Disability and Community Care Services) is committed to providing ongoing support to all specialist disability service providers recurrently funded or provided by the department.
Financial assistance helps specialist disability service providers meet the costs of implementing and maintaining their quality management systems. This is currently provided by:
- service development grants to help with the development and implementation of internal quality management systems
- certification cost grants to help meet costs associated with external certification audit
- surveillance cost grants to help meet costs associated with external surveillance audits.
Specialist disability service providers should contact the community resource officer at their local Disability Services office to discuss the range of financial assistance available to their service.
Refer to Fact sheet 4: New organisations Fact sheet 4: New organisations for details about specific financial assistance for new specialist disability service providers.
