Forensic disability worker (clinician) P03

A Forensic Disability Worker (clinician) provides support for adults with an intellectual disability and offending behaviours who are clients of the Forensic Disability Service. With the aim of assisting the person to transition back to his/her community the forensic disability worker develops programs to improve their quality of life, reduces the risk of re-engaging in offending behaviour and provides opportunities for community reintegration.

A forensic disability worker (clinical support and shift coordination) delivers lifestyle and skills support for adults with an intellectual disability and offending behaviours who are clients of the Forensic Disability Service. With the aim of assisting the person to transition back to his/her community, the forensic disability worker implements programs to improve clients’ quality of life, reduces the risk of re-engaging in offending behaviour and provides opportunities for community reintegration. 

The forensic disability worker (clinical support and shift coordination) is responsible for appropriate deployment of staff on a shift by shift basis and arranging the smooth transition of shift changes and identifying and responding to staff shortages.

The aim is to assist the person to transition back to his/her community, implement programs to improve clients’ quality of life, reduce the risk of re-engaging in offending behaviour and provide opportunities for community reintegration.

Clinical Team Leader - (Psychologist) (PO4)

The Clinical Team Leader - (Psychologist) provides leadership and supervision to teams of professional and operational staff delivering evidence-based services in Queensland’s new forensic disability service. The role also provides clinical and operational practice advice on treatment/rehabilitation programs and life skills development activities with regard to people with an intellectual or cognitive disability who engage in offending behaviours.

Clinical Team Leader - (Allied Health) (PO4)

The Clinical Team Leader - (Allied Health) provides leadership and supervision to teams of professional and operational staff delivering evidence-based services in Queensland’s new forensic disability service. The role also provides clinical and operational practice advice on treatment/rehabilitation programs and life skills development activities with regard to people with an intellectual or cognitive disability who engage in offending behaviours.

Senior Manager (PO6)

The Senior Manager provides leadership and management to teams of professional and operational staff delivering evidence-based services in Queensland’s new forensic disability service. The role also provides clinical and operational practice advice on treatment/rehabilitation programs and life skills development activities with regard to adults with an intellectual disability who engage in offending behaviours.
