A forensic disability worker (clinical support and shift coordination) delivers lifestyle and skills support for adults with an intellectual disability and offending behaviours who are clients of the Forensic Disability Service. With the aim of assisting the person to transition back to his/her community, the forensic disability worker implements programs to improve clients’ quality of life, reduces the risk of re-engaging in offending behaviour and provides opportunities for community reintegration. 

The forensic disability worker (clinical support and shift coordination) is responsible for appropriate deployment of staff on a shift by shift basis and arranging the smooth transition of shift changes and identifying and responding to staff shortages.

What qualifications do you need?

Forensic disability workers (clinical support and shift coordination) must hold or be able to complete within prescribed timeframes, a Certificate IV in disability.

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • keen observational and analytical skills
  • strong communication skills
  • the ability to work continuous rotating shifts on a 24/7 basis.

(Salary: AUD$64,349 – AUD$67,780 per annum not including shift allowance, leave loading and superannuation)
