  • About carers

    The Australian Bureau of Statistics indicates in 2004 there were approximately 536,000 carers in Queensland or about 14 per cent of the Queensland population.

  • Support for carers

    The government plays a significant role in developing awareness of carer needs and initiatives, and assisting carers with maintaining a balance between their caring role and other life activities. It is also a responsibility of the community as a whole to support carers.

    The carer tribute gallery gives every Queenslander an opportunity to acknowledge the valuable contribution carers make to the people they care for and the community.
