Launched in 2007, the Younger People in Residential Aged Care (YPIRAC) program is a partnership between the Queensland and Australian governments.

Up until November 2010, 111 Queenslanders with a disability had been able to move to more appropriate accommodation under this program.

YPIRAC offers younger people who are living in residential aged care (or at risk of having to do so) with more suitable living and support arrangements. The program also provides support for people in residential aged care who choose to remain there.

The Queensland and Australian governments have each committed $23.9 million to the program over five years to June 2011.
