Queensland Government
Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services

The Department of Communities is now also delivering its services in Cairns through the new Queensland Government Service Centre in William McCormack Place, Sheridan Street.

The centre provides Cairns residents with access to a range of state government services, advice and information at a single location.

Locals can make payments over the counter for a variety of government services, discuss services with staff or use a self service computer kiosk and a telephone linked to the government call centre.

Other government services provided at the centre include those of the Office of Fair Trading and a number of licensing agencies.

In May this year a similar Queensland Government centre is scheduled to open at Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast.
