Some decisions made by departmental staff about housing services provided to clients or registered housing providers can be appealed (reviewed).

Applications for an appeal (review) must be in writing and must use the correct application form. On this form, you must give details of the decision you wish to have appealed (reviewed) and your reasons for doing so. You will need to make the application within 28 days of becoming aware of the decision.

Most decisions made by the department regarding housing services can be appealed. If the department has made a decision under the Housing Act 2003 regarding your registration or the appointment of an interim manager to your organisation, you can apply to have this decision reviewed using the review process.
