
Annastacia Palaszczuk, Minister for Transport and Multicultural Affairs.
Annastacia Palaszczuk is the Queensland Minister for Transport and Multicultural Affairs. Prior to this, Minister Palaszczuk was the Minister for Disability Services and Multicultural Affairs.
Minister Palaszczuk was elected to State Parliament in September 2006.
During this time she was a Member for the Members’ Ethics and Parliamentary Privileges Committee and the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Main Roads and Local Government. She has also served on a number of parliamentary committees, including chairing the Estimates Committee from 2007 to 2008 and the Members' Ethics and Parliamentary Privileges Committee from November 2006 to November 2008.
Minister Palaszczuk holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Queensland, Master of Arts (Hons) from the University of London, Bachelor of Laws from the University of Queensland and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the Australian National University.
Minister Palaszczuk is a patron of the Inala Community House, the Oxley Darra Pony Club and Project Love & Care. She also holds a keen interest in reading, cricket, rugby league, theatre and sailing.
