Policy and Performance facilitates the Department of Communities role in the Queensland housing system to contribute appropriately to the Queensland Government's priorities and whole-of-Government outcomes.
Policy and Performance provides this support through:
- providing analysis and advice on housing and homelessness-related social policy and legislation
- providing advice on the National Affordable Housing Agreement, including implementing the associated National Partnership Agreements of remote Indigenous housing, homelessness and social housing and the Economic Stimulus Package
- overseeing the coordination of housing and homelessness policies
- leading and coordinating the Housing and Homelessness Services contribution to department, state and Australian Government planning and reporting commitments
- contributing to the governance by the Housing and Homelessness Services Executive Management Committee through monitoring and overseeing service area planning, performance reporting and risk monitoring.
