Housing complex honours volunteer

A social housing unit complex in Inala has been named after one of the area's tireless community volunteers.

Minister for Disability Services and Multicultural Affairs and Member for Inala Annastacia Palaszczuk named the $1.4 million Aspen Street housing complex after local woman Ann Bailey last month.

Ann Bailey Place recognises Ann for her ongoing dedication to the Inala community as a committee member of the South West Progress Association and The Hub Neighbourhood Centre.

Volunteers like Ann play a vital role in building local communities and the department looks to recognise their fantastic efforts.

Ann Bailey Place will provide a place to call home for nine people in housing need.
