Each year the department supports a number of staff employed by community housing organisations to undertake the Graduate Certificate of Social Science (Housing Management and Policy) through Swinburne University.
Successful applicants will receive full course reimbursement to undertake the training. Reimbursement of the course fees will be made to the organisation each semester upon successful completion of course work.
The course is offered through distance education, with tutorials held in Brisbane. There is also support for students in remote areas and a two-day residential program held in Melbourne in the second year.
A course information package with details on how to apply for financial assistance was posted to all registered community housing providers in early November. Please circulate this information to staff within your organisation who may be interested in applying. Information about the Graduate Certificate of Social Science (Housing Management and Policy) is available on the Swinburne University website.
Applications for financial assistance must be received by the Business Development and Innovation Unit by Monday 5 December 2011.
