On 9 June 2010, the release of the third edition of the National Community Housing Standards Manual was announced.
The National Community Housing Standards were first developed in 1998 to establish standards of good practice in service delivery in the community housing sector.
The Queensland Department of Communities led the national project to review the standards and develop a third edition of the manual. The project involved extensive consultation across Australia to ensure the standards continue to reflect contemporary good practice and the current operating environment for community housing providers.
