Future directions for social housing

The Department of Communities is undertaking a project to set the strategic direction for social housing in Queensland over the next five years. Part of this project involves research into potential opportunities and impacts for the not-for-profit sector from an expanded role in social housing delivery. More information will be available as the project unfolds.

A significant reform in Australian social housing, the national regulatory system for community housing, is also underway. State, territory and Commonwealth governments have committed to this reform under the National Affordable Housing Agreement (2009-14).
