Queensland consultation on the national regulatory system

In Queensland, consultation on the key elements and high-level principles for the proposed national regulatory system for community housing providers was undertaken in Brisbane, Townsville and Rockhampton in late 2011. The consultation sessions, held by the Housing Ministers’ Advisory Committee, gathered the views of over 150 representatives from housing providers, tenants, regional councils, tenant advocates, peak bodies and support providers.

Fact sheets and information resources about the proposed national regulatory system are available from www.nrsch.gov.au. You can also give your feedback to the national project team on that website. Queensland stakeholders may be particularly interested in the information contained in the state-specific Frequently-Asked-Questions document, available from www.nrsch.gov.au/Forums/Queensland.htm
