Summarises the findings from five departmental evaluations. - Closing Gaps and Opening Doors: The function of an integrated homelessness service system: Place Based Network Analysis and Case Studies
Completed in December 2008 by Dr Robyn Keast and Professor Kerry Brown (from Queensland University of Technology) for the Department of Communities. The evaluation used network analysis and place-based case studies to examine the impact of the strategy on levels of integration and service coordination across three sites — Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Townsville. - Implementation Evaluation of the Department of Communities' Initiatives under the Responding to Homelessness Strategy
Completed in December 2008 by the former Strategic Evaluation and Research Branch, Department of Communities. The evaluation assessed progress and barriers to implementation, key successes and innovations. - Evaluation of the Department of Housing's Contribution to the Queensland Government's Responding to Homelessness Strategy
Completed in October 2008 by Urbis Pty Ltd for the Department of Housing. The review evaluated the Department of Housing's contribution to the strategy and assessed interventions across a range of projects to inform key learning and future directions. - Evaluation of the Queensland Health Homeless Initiative
Completed in July 2008 by The University of Queensland Social Research Centre for Queensland Health. The evaluation assessed the effectiveness of services, processes and structures associated with the initiative. - Homeless Persons Court Diversion Program Pilot Evaluation .
Completed in November 2007 by Creative Sparks Pty Ltd for the Department of Justice and Attorney-General. The evaluation had two components — a process evaluation focusing on operational aspects of the court, and an outcome evaluation focusing on what was being achieved. The evaluation included seven in-depth case studies and a literature review .

Note: The Queensland Police Service conducted an internal review of the Police Liaison Officer Program funded under the Responding to Homelessness Strategy. The review was not intended for public release but has been used to inform the Queensland Government's future homelessness responses.
